The Miami Dolphins have been making fans wait patiently until April, when they’ll unveil their new logo. However, it seems as though a piece of the new logo might have been shared via Instagram earlier today during Brian Hartline’s contract signing. Kara Conrad, Hartline’s girlfriend, posted the below picture on Instagram:
Look at the bottom right of the screen, on the table appears to be the Dolphins new logo. Or is it the old logo? Here’s a closer look:
I wish we could see the entire logo so we could tell for sure. ProFootballTalk is saying that the Dolphins are denying that this is their new logo. You can read their story here. This may simply be a different rendering of the Dolphins old logo. However, look at the tail of the Dolphin….it’s behind the ‘sun’ ring. On all of the Dolphins previous logos, the tail was in front of the ‘sun’ ring. Whatever, we’ll find out soon enough, right?!
The Dolphins said that they will announce the new logo before the draft next month, so we won’t have to wait too much longer. The goal is to make the logo better and more modern looking.
Right now though, it’s time to make the team on the field better. Free Agency officially starts on Tuesday, but the Dolphins can begin speaking with free agents’ representatives tonight at midnight. I would think that they will be on the phone with a certain wide receiver’s agent (cough, Mike Wallace, cough). We’ll be posting our thoughts on the Matt Moore and Brian Hartline signings, a little later today.
