The Miami Dolphins haven’t had much to celebrate this season. At 2-7, the Dolphins celebrating has been kept to a minimum…although we’ve seen quite a bit over the last 2 weeks. The Dolphins players are excited to be winning games again….and why shouldn’t they? CBS cameras caught Cameron Wake, Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett doing the Dougie on the sidelines late in the Dolphins game versus the Redskins on Sunday:
Glad to see the Dolphins players are still loose and having fun, despite being 2-7. However, we wanted to share Jared Odrick’s new sack dance with you…and get your thoughts. Odrick has been playing well of late. In fact, he’s recorded a sack in 3 of the last 4 games. If his dance below looks familiar, it’s the Pee Wee Herman dance that was popular in the 80′s. Odrick wasn’t allowed to do any sack celebration dances while at Penn State, so apparently he’s making up for lost time. Odrick says that the dance was requested by his Mom. He enjoyed doing the dance when he was young and he decided to bring it back. He’s even petitioning the Dolphins in-stadium to play the song once he records a sack at Sun Life Stadium.
Odrick’s dance is….well…..special….but it’s drawing mixed reviews. Tony Sparano calls the dance “Ugly”. Jason Taylor said that Odrick is “embarrassing himself”. Karlos Dansby insists that the dance is “terrible”. From what we’ve heard/read, Dolphins fans are mixed about Odrick’s dance. We’re just happy that the Dolphins finally have something to dance about! What do you think?
