Lifeless Dolphins should be embarrassed after 19-0 loss to Bills
What I liked
Nolan Carroll – Carroll was the only one on the defense that remembered there was a football game. He picked off Chad Lewis and had the Dolphins only sack of the game. Bravo Mr. Carroll.
Brandon Fields – He should probably be scheduled for an MRI today because he wore out his right leg on Sunday. He punted 10 times for over 500 yards (50.1 avg per punt) and kicked 6 inside of the Bills 20 yard line. He also kicked a 74 yarder. Whoo hoo, Brandon Fields for team MVP!
Landshark Lager – Yup, that’s it as far as the game goes. But I did enjoy quite a few Landsharks as the game got progressively worse. Kudos Jimmy Buffet, kudos to you.
What I didn’t like
Offensive Line – The Bills held the Dolphins to just 103 yards on the day…..total…..One hundred and three yards. This was an embarrassing performance by the team and it all starts up front. Tannehill was attacked at all angles and this line did NOTHING to help the running backs…..like nothing at all. You can be sure the Jets will be watching this tape to see what worked (i.e. everything). Martin and Incognito are gone, get your crap together line.
Ryan Tannehill – For all the praise Tannehill was given for his December success, he deserves some blame for this loss. He completed only 10 of 27 passes for 82 yards. Those are Geno Smith type numbers, my friends. The wind was swirling, his receivers dropped passes, and the line did nothing to help him, but Tannehill must overcome all of those things if he wants to be ‘the guy’. The Dolphins were 2 of 14 on 3rd down? Unacceptable.
Brian Hartline – Yes, he caught a nice pass from Matt Moore, but the usually consistent Hartline had a few drops on Sunday….including a would-be touchdown.
Lamar Miller/Daniel Thomas – 12 carries, 14 yards. Pathetic. The sad thing is that it wasn’t the worst rushing performance this season. The Dolphins running game has been wildly inconsistent. One key offseason priority has to be to find a short yardage, power back. (continued on page 3, CLICK HERE)
