Miami Musings: Breaking down Tannehill’s day, Dolphins momentum, and an early big board

Dolphins-oriented 2013 Big Board – ThePhinsider.com

It’s week 3 of the NFL season, never to early to start thinking about the 2013 draft, right?  Well, maybe just a little early, but this post from ThePhinsider is interesting anyway.  The Dolphins have a TON of free agents at the end of this season, including Randy Starks, Sean Smith, Reggie Bush, among others.  We’ll obviously have to see how this season plays out and how free agency goes, but this is a good starting point to start familiarizing yourself with some of the draft’s big names.

‘Perfection’ Contest – PhinPhanatic.com

PhinPhanatic.com is holding a contest to give away an autographed copy of Dave Hyde’s book ‘Perfection’, which celebrates the 1972 UNDEFEATED Miami Dolphins.  All you have to do is send an email with your guess at the final score of the Dolphins/Jets game this Sunday.  It only takes a minute to enter, so I encourage you to check it out!

I have been ranting like a lunatic about a possible nightmare situation which would include Sparano and Teabow teaming together to present Miami with a little nasty wild cat surprise… while they go with no huddle on us…. everyone seems to be overly concerned with what the Phins must do on offence… this raving fan just wants us to look out for the man from Jacksonville and make the necessary adjustments right then and there, because of the go hurry up on us, we may not gat another chance to substitute.

Jules – I agree with you. Tebowmania started last year in Miami and I’m worried this game might be the start of it again. The Dolphins run defense has to maintain their rush lanes and make tackles when they have the opportunity to. I could also envision the Jets using 4 wide receiver sets and no huddle to take advantage of the Dolphins pass defense. I don’t feel as comfortable with this game as I did last week!
