Miami Musings: Dolphins aren’t BAD enough, Coordinator Coaching Option, Plus Hysterical Phins video

It’s been a surprisingly quiet week around the Miami Dolphins….no crazy comments from the Dolphins Owner….no Dolphins players lashing out at the fans.  Is this what a normal NFL week is like?  The Dolphins DID place WR Marlon Moore on injured reserve yesterday, ending his season.  The Dolphins are now relatively thin at wide receiver.  They still have Brandon Marshall, Davone Bess, and Brian Hartline, but the bottom of the depth chart is depleted.  Dolphins rookie WR Clyde Gates is reportedly nursing an injury, making us wonder if the Dolphins are going to bring someone else in soon.  We’ll keep you posted on his status and, of course, if Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush get back together (sigh).  Onto the Miami Musings from around the Dolphins Blogs:

Dolphins aren’t bad enough to get Andrew LuckPhinPhanatic.com

Remystark over at PhinPhanatic.com breaks down just how bad the 2011 Miami Dolphins are.  He makes a valid argument that the Dolphins just aren’t bad enough to ‘earn’ the number 1 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.  Personally, nothing would surprise me.  The Dolphins are already 0-7 and realistically could go 2-14.  The Colts COULD get Peyton Manning back, which would change the complexion of the Andrew Luck race.

A NEW Hysterical Dolphins VideoFinsNation.com

The guys at FinsNation.com did it again.  After coming up with two steller (and hysterical) videos, they have outdone themselves again.  This time, “We Are All Ray Feinga” Records focuses more attention to their name sake, Ray Feinga.  There are videos from his wedding….and images of Jeff Ireland that will leave you speechless.  It’s not appropriate for children, but if you are an adult with a sense of humor, you’ll get a kick out of it for sure.  I don’t know how they’ll top this one….Rumors have it that they are taking aim at Jeff Ireland in their next edition…..

Coordinator Coaching OptionsDolphinShout.com

DolphinShout.com has been doing a series of posts, looking at potential coaching options for the Dolphins in 2012 and beyond.  They’re doing this because we all know that Tony Sparano is a goner and the Dolphins will be looking for a new coach after the season (or sooner).  This week, they are checking in on the various NFL coordinators that could be ‘hot names’ when coaching opportunities open up.  The list is interesting, but the only coordinator that intrigues me is Pete Carmichael Jr.  He’s been the Saints Offensive Coordinator for 3 years now and we know how potent the Saints offense can be…granted, they do have some playmakers!  I’d personally prefer a coach that has experience (Cowher, Gruden, Fisher) because I don’t think the Dolphins can risk a gamble on an up-and-coming coach.

Feeling a Draft?NFLDraftWizard.com

Neil Driscoll unveiled his first mock draft for the 2012 draft last week, and we thought you’d be interested to see who he had the Dolphins taking.  If you’re a Dolphins fan, Suck for Luck or not, you’ll like who Neil has the Dolphins taking with their first pick.  Yes, we know it’s way too early to project the the draft, but it’s fun to start looking ahead….especially when the Dolphins are 0-7.
