It is quite obvious or at least probable that the players on the “Ideal …” scenario, at least at the draft position shown, will not be available for Miami when our turn comes up. The “Reality Scenario” however, is more … hmm, well, realistic, and in it, I take either an alternate player in that round and or move a highly desirable player to an earlier round in some cases.
One positive which characterizes this draft class, is its depth at multiple positions. The Dolphins need however, potential starters who will readily contribute instead of just developmental projects. The strength of this draft class again, should direct the scouts’ focus to the vast amount of talent to be found in projected undrafted athletes who become UFAs. I will treat talent in the projected UFA pool, in a separate upcoming article which will solely concentrate on the underrated players not selected during the draft.
