Pitiful Picks: Can the Dolphins make it 3 in a row?

Alright Dolphins fans, this is the game we’ve been anxiously waiting for ever since the final seconds ticked off last Sunday. Today, the Dolphins will look to win their third straight game to start the season AND win their home opener.  Although we are 2-0 in picking the Dolphins games, we are just 3-5 overall in our Pitiful Picks so far this season.  Hopefully, we can turn things around this week and the Dolphins can keep on rolling, despite some surprise injuries late this week.

Before we get to the picks, I want to thank you all for being such a great Dolphins fan community.  Our last post had 22 comments!  This is a great amount of comments and it’s great to see the ongoing discussions taking place!  Also, we’re looking for a new writer. If you’re interested, send an email to Bill@PhinNation.com and let us know that you’re interested.  Okay, okay, onto the picks:

Giants +2 over Panthers

Okay, I’ve been burnt by the Giants twice so far this season. BUT, I think this is the game that they finally show up.  Eli Manning has thrown more interceptions than Jay Cutler and Phillip Rivers….this simply can’t go on.  Meanwhile, the Panthers are lost on offense and their defense allowed EJ Manuel to score the game winning touchdown in the final seconds of last week’s game.  Prediction:  Giants 27 Panthers 17

Texans -3 over Ravens

Sorry, but the Ravens just aren’t playing like the defending Super Bowl Champs.  They lost a lot of players this offeseason and they have a lot of injuries right now.  I know the Ravens are at home, but I think the Texans are at least 3 points better than them, especially if that offense gets rolling.   The Ravens defense gave up 49 to Peyton Manning and the team struggled against the Browns.  Give me the Texans and give up the points.  Prediction:  Texans 30 Ravens 20
