Pitiful Picks: Can the Dolphins stay alive in the playoff chase?
Today, the Miami Dolphins have what amounts to essentially an elimination game versus the Jets at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. If they can win, we can talk about playoffs and the chances of them getting in. If they lose, we may well be headed for yet another 7-9 season.
This is going to be a quick version of our picks, but since we finally got over the .500 mark (27-26) on the season, we needed to get these in!
Colts -4 over Titans
The Colts owner called them out. I expect them to finally put a solid effort together. A win today will essentially give them the division win. Prediction: Colts 27 Titans 17
Eagles -3 over Cardinals
The Eagles and Cardinals are both playing well of late. The Eagles have been bad at home, but I think the Nick Foles magic continues. Prediction: Eagles 30 Cardinals 24
Broncos -6 over Chiefs
The Chiefs are all banged up and the Broncos will look to take a strangle hold on the division with a win. The weather conditions favor Peyton Manning and I expect a 10 point decision. Prediction: Broncos 34 Chiefs 24
Dolphins +1 over Jets
The Dolphins welcome back Mike Pouncey and hopefully that helps stabalize the Dolphins offensive line. They probably won’t be able to run it too effectively (when do they?), but I expect Ryan Tannehill to outplay Geno Smith. As long as he avoids the big mistake, I think the Dolphins win and stay alive. Prediction: Dolphins 17 Jets 16
