New Orleans Saints -3.5 over San Diego Chargers
The Saints are 0-4 and are pretty hapless this season. BUT, tonight is going to have a different feel. Drew Brees is going to be throwing the ball, every chance he gets, trying to break the ‘consecutive games with a TD’ record. The Saints should be ready to go tonight and will give a good effort in front of the national audience. I would feel better if this was a 3 point game, but I think the Saints can cover. Miami Dolphins +3 over Cincinnati Bengals
The Dolphins have lost 2 heartbreakers, but they know they are close to being a decent team. This is the week when I think they put it all together, led by Reggie Bush and the Dolphins ground attack. The Bengals give up almost 5.5 yards per carry, which means Reggie could break some big runs for the Dolphins. This solid ground attack will set up Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins passing attack, because Bengals defenders will be creeping up to stop the run.
The key to the game is to limit the costly turnovers at the worst possible times. I think we’ll see Ryan Tannehill take another step in his development today and I think he’ll limit his mistakes. Dolphins 24 – Bengals 23
