Pitiful Picks: Can the Dolphins upset the Pats and win 3rd in a row?
Titans +3 over Cardinals
I’ll be honest, there aren’t a lot of in depth reasons why I’m picking this way. It’s a hunch. The Titans have been playing teams close and since they’re at home and getting points, I’ll go with them. Prediction: Titans 27 Cardinals 26
Lions -6 over Ravens
If this happens, Dolphins fans everywhere can celebrate a scoreboard victory. I think the Lions, coming off of the snow bowl in Philly, will want to show the world that they’re legit. This is on the national stage on Monday Night Football and I expect a similar performance to what we saw against the Packers on Thanksgiving. Give me the Lions, give up the points. Prediction: Lions 34 Ravens 24
Patriots -1.5 over Dolphins
I HOPE I’M WRONG!!! But in the Pitiful picks, we can’t make picks based on our heart….we have to use our heads. I think the Dolphins have a shot to win this game, especially given the number of key injuries the Patriots have. But, Joe Philbin hasn’t beaten the Patriots in 3 tries and I’m afraid the pass rush won’t be able to get to Tom Brady.
The first time these 2 teams played, the Dolphins were able to run the ball effectively in the first half. They lost the game, in pare, because they went away from the run in the second half of that game. STICK WITH THE RUN THIS TIME SHERMAN!!!! If Ryan Tannehill can play mistake-free, the Dolphins should win this game. But that’s a big if, especially against a Belichick coached team. The last thing the Dolphins want to do is give Brady a short field to work with. Prediction: Patriots 30 Dolphins 24
