Pitiful Picks for week 4 of the NFL season

On this Miami Dolphins-less Sunday, we get to watch games from around the NFL.  The Dolphins might be playing, but rooting against other teams, that could be playoff competition, would be wise.  Yes, it’s still only week 4 in the NFL, but the Dolphins should be rooting for every NFC team that’s playing against an AFC team. They probably also want to root against the rest of the AFC East.

Our picks so far this season have been pitiful, truly living up to their name.  BUT, we’re 3-0 in Dolphins related games.  Speaking of that, check back Monday morning for our writers’ thoughts and predictions for the big Monday Night Football matchup between the Dolphins and Saints.  Take our picks with a grain of salt, we’re 5-8 overall so far this season.  BUT, maybe this is our week to break out!  So with that, we’ll get to our picks for today, enjoy your stress-free Sunday Dolphins fans!

Titans -3.5 over Jets

I’m not buying that the Titans are going to challenge the Colts and Texans in the AFC South.  But, they welcome in a Jets team that has a rookie turnover machine….I mean QB, in Geno Smith.  The Jets defense is solid, but I’ll take the Titans at home.  Prediction:  Titans 24 Jets 17

Eagles +11 over Broncos

I can’t justify this pick.  I can’t justify the Eagles winning the game.  BUT, for some reason, I just think they keep it close.  Chip Kelly’s offense can put up points, so maybe even a backdoor cover would work.  Prediction: Broncos 38 Eagles 30

Falcons -3 over Patriots

The Falcons are desperate and the Patriots will be with Amendola and Gronk (again).  The Falcons can’t afford to fall to 1-3 through 4 weeks, so I think they give a good effort at home on Sunday night.  I’ll be rooting hard for the Falcons in this one and hope they can give the Pats their first loss of the season.  Prediction:  Falcons 30 Patriots 24

Check back Monday morning for our picks on the Dolphins/Saints game
