Pitiful Picks: No Dolphins, but plenty of rooting to do
Chiefs -4 over Bills
The Chiefs winning streak is going to end at some point. If anyone other than Jeff Tuel was starting for the Bills this week, I would pick them. But I just can’t do it, especially given the rather low line here. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Chiefs lost this game, but I don’t have any faith in Tuel Time. Prediction: Chiefs 24 Bills 16
Redskins +1 over Chargers
I don’t love the Redskins, but I don’t like the Chargers traveling across country for a 1pm game. The Redskins are 2-5 and yet they are only 1.5 games out of first place in the depressing NFC East. RG3 is starting to get back into RG3 form, which I think will help the Redskins pull off the upset, at home. Prediction: Redskins 27 Chargers 24
Ravens -3 over Browns
The Browns had some success early and they really need this game. BUT, I think the Ravens will be too much for them in this one. The Ravens have lost 2 straight and the Browns have lost 3 straight, so this one is anyone’s guess. I’ll take the defending Super Bowl Champions to right the ship and get to .500. Prediction: Ravens 24 Browns 17
Patriots -7 over Steelers
I will be rooting hard for the Steelers to pull out this win, but I just don’t think they’ll be able to do it. Their offense has been pretty good for the most part, but the Patriots are the Patriots. They’ve had luck on their side for the last decade and I think playing at home will lead to a 10 point Pats win. Prediction: Patriots 33 Steelers 23
So there you have it our, Pitiful Picks for week 9. Sit back, relax, and root like crazy against all of the AFC And AFC East rivals of the Dolphins. Hopefully Ryan Tannehill, Mike Wallace, Lamar Miller, Cameron Wake, and the rest of the Dolphins enjoy this Sunday off. Because starting next Monday, the push for the playoffs will be on!
