Predictions for the 2013 Dolphins season

Alright Dolphins fans, we are now just 4 days away from opening day.  You know what that means, right?  It’s time for us to start our pitiful prognostications!!!  We’ll take a way too early look at each game and give you our thoughts on each, based on the information we all have right now, in early September.  We are well aware that things will change between now and the time these games are actually played, but this is one of the fun parts of being a football fan!

We know that injuries, scheme adjustments, momentum, position in the standings, and all will play a role in how these games actually play out.  BUT, we want to get an idea for how well the Dolphins might fare in 2013.  The best way to do that is to take a look at each game and come up with a highly scientific prediction (hint: it’s really an uneducated guess!).  So here we go:

Dolphins @ Browns

The Browns are a team that a lot of people are talking about as being an improved team in 2013.  While I think they’ll be better, I think the Dolphins were better to start and have improved more this offseason.  Prediction: Dolphins 24-17  (1-0)

Dolphins @ Colts

Ahh, the Andrew Luck game.  The Colts made the playoffs last year in Luck’s first season, but how much have they improved this offseason?  Not as much as their fans had hoped.  I think the Dolphins improved offense scores enough points and their improved defense does enough to eek out the win.  Prediction: Dolphins 27-24  (2-0)
