Everyone else practiced for the Dolphins on Wednesday, including Daniel Thomas who participated fully. Jabar Gaffney continued to get reps with the first team and told the Miami Herald:
“I’m definitely ready to play.” “I’m a lot better than I was when I first got here,” Gaffney said. “I’ve gotten better with each and every practice and it’s helped me play rather than just thinking. I would have to say today was my best practice, definitely better than Monday.”
Again, the key with Gaffney will be his ability to show the Dolphins coaches that he is on the same page with Ryan Tannehill. Gaffney must know the audibles, checks, and hot reads that Tannehill will be calling at the line of scrimmage. If he is not familiar enough with these calls at the line of scrimmage, it will lead to communication issues (wrong routes, etc.) and potentially could lead to turnovers. I hope he’s ready, I’m ready to see if he can add something to the Dolphins passing attack!
