Tony Sparano gives inspired speech at Dolphins Kickoff Lunch Party

Earlier today, the Miami Dolphins held their annual Kickoff Lunch Party.  Attending the party were the Dolphins Cheerleaders, Dolphins Front Office Peeps, Coach Sparano, and some of the Dolphins players.  The Dolphins players included Brandon Marshall, Chad Henne, Cameron Wake, and Jake Long.  During the party, Dolphins coach Sparano gave an inspired speech, which you can listen to below:

Sparano talks in his speech about how passionate the Dolphins are right now and proclaims that it will show through once the season kicks off.  He urges the Dolphins fan base to bring the same passion to the stadium every Sunday/Monday night….especially the Monday night opener when the Dolphins host the Patriots.

It’s clear that Sparano likes this Dolphins team.  He says that the locker room is very motivated and that this is the best group he’s had since he’s been in Miami.  We hope all of what Sparano says is true, because if it is, we could be in for an exciting season.  He was emotional during the speech, which leads us to believe that he truly thinks he has a good Dolphins team this year.  With a majority media ‘experts’ casting the Dolphins as the 4th best team in the AFC East, this Dolphins team could easily adopt the Us against the World mentality.  It’s up to these players…..these coaches to prove the Mike and Mike’s wrong….to prove the Peter King’s of the world wrong…The time for talking is just about over.  And 12 days, words will no longer have meaning.

    Dolphans,

    My friends, it is time to rally the troops. It is time to see what our fanbase is really capable of. We need to start kicking @$$ and taking names as a fanbase. I’m tired of everyone being debbie downers about our team. It’s up to us now. We are the ones that need to bring our fan loyalty up. We need to be the ones that will go out to the stadiums, and scream Henne, Marshall or Bush’s name until the fans around us have left. A war may be coming not only to our year, but to our franchise. We as fans have to start supporting, and start attending all things that are the Dolphins. A successful team, needs a successful fanbase to encourage it to do well. So Dolphans, I ask you…your time is now to act. Let’s start a Dolphin fan revolution, one that will be forever supportive of the Phins and not just “fans” of the 72 team or the Marino era. We are the children of the Phinvolution.

    There has not been much to cheer about in the last ten years. The cost of going to the game has gone nowhere but up. How can this be with the crap they have put on the field. After 22 years as a season thicket holder that drives 420 miles round trip on game day .I say no thanks. Show me a good team ,great coach,great front office and we will be back. IT JUST GETS OLD HEARING ALL THIER BULL!

    Darrell;
    First of all, I’ve been a Dolphins fan since I was 12 years old (year Marino entered the league). I would almost a diehard fan. (tattoo of dolphins logo). Besides my service time spent mostly on east coast, I now reside in Maine (heart of Patriots country). I drive a big pickup with a big sticker of the Dolphins Logo in my back window. So with all that said, its hard to still stay strong to a team when I feel ownership and management could care less of the fans to put a good (doesn’t have to be great) team on the field. Since Marino retired has Jeff Ireland or the organization looked into the need of a replacement for Marino? No! They’ve patched worked out of shaped, injury proned QB’s on the field for the past 10-15 years. So now we’ve had this issue with Henne not being the QB of Miami’s future for the past 2 years (which I’ve supported him) but did they address this issue in the draft. Of course not. Just my thought and I hope that Henne developes into a great QB and I start seeing the seats in Miami full again. Good luck Dolphins.

    Dol-Fans,

    The time to blow the dust off those beer coolers is here. Forget the wives , forget the girlfriends , they just don’t understand what it means to bleed Aqua and orange. The 2011 dolphin season is here, and as usual we are given no chance to do anything. Overshadowed by the Jets and Patriots , the dolphins can reign supreme again by Smart football. The past 3 seasons henne has taken a beating from the phin nation, but I think you missed it. I saw that glimmer in his eye. Forget those yahoo’s at training camp chanting for Kyle Orton , they are not true dol-fans. Did you see it? Reggie bush is a dolphin! He is what this team needed Ronnie Brown was just OK. HE just seemed to want to get through a game so he could go home and wonder about the Off season. The Defense will surprise you , I think posibly the best in the AFC. Thats right even better than the Steelers. When you have your back-ups that are just as good as your starters , No fear the dolphins D is here. So, the question remains to those beat writers will you eat crow at the end of the year when the dolphins are in the play-offs? I remember Jim Mandich telling a story once on the radio about how Csonka had his nose broken in a game and Csonka came back to the huddle with his nose smashed across his face and looking up at Mad dog and saying along the lines “having fun yet? I am? that is what I feel from this team this year. Dolphins will win Monday night 33-14. Tom Brady is on a decline and the dolphins are the ones who are going to start his descent into retirement. Sorry Pats, Dol-fan nation is in full force.
