The Miami Dolphins are surprising some people this season.  I think it’s fair to say, the Dolphins are playing better than many people expected.  Yes, they are 2-3, but there are signs of life from the Dolphins who finished 7-9, 7-9, and 6-10 each of the last 3 seasons.  Like me, most Dolphins fans are excited about Ryan Tannehill’s potential as the franchise quarterback of the future.  The Dolphins have a sound defense and an offense that seems to be improving each week.  The Dolphins have lost a couple of heartbreaking games this season, but fans now have something they haven’t had in a while…..hope.

Let’s face it, as fans we get very excited after a Dolphins win and very depressed after a loss.  It happens.  I can’t watch ESPN or NFL network after the Dolphins lose, I just can’t deal with the reminders of how close they were.  After a win?  I can’t get enough!  I can watch the same reply over and over again.  This week, the Dolphins won.  So we’re obviously excited and now hope to get to 3-3 with a win over the Rams this weekend.

Even though the Dolphins are playing better, Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland is still the poster child for the weaknesses of this team.  A portion of the fan base wants him fired.  Another portion defends him.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.  But, we had to share the below video because quite frankly, whether you like Ireland or not, it’s funny.

Prior to the Dolphins victory on Sunday, the WAARF guys released their latest single ‘Hi, my name is…..Jeffy Jeff Ireland’.  WAARF stands for ‘We Are All Ray Feinga’, which refers to the Dolphins offensive lineman that has been released and resigned more than 6 times in the last 2 years.  This WAARF video was released originally on FinsNation.com , was written by @Rizzmiggizz, sung by @kevincmayer, and video created by @vinbob.  I wouldn’t say that it’s safe for work or for children, but if you haven’t seen it yet, check it out:

Some Dolphins fans are unhappy with Ireland’s track record on draft picks and free agents (and 3 losing seasons).  Ireland haters often bring up names like Patrick Turner, Pat White, Chad Henne, Philip Merling, Gebril Wilson, and the Vontae Davis/Brandon Marshall trades.  Supporters of Ireland point to the fact that the Dolphins now have a franchise QB and have a solid nucleus around which to build a consistent winner.  Where do you fall?  Leave us a comment below and let us know what you think about the job Jeff Ireland has done.

    I support J Ireland, most Dolphins fans are just too dumb to realize that Ireland was not in charge of any personnel moves in 2008,2009 and 2010..Yes Ireland was second in command behind Parcells but Parcells made all personnel decisions,again people are just too dumb and don’t think

      FZB, I have no problem with your supporting Jeff Ireland. But calling other Dolphins fans dumb is rude and inaccurate. You might not agree with them, but they’re entitled to their opinion. Do you know with 100% certainty that Ireland had zero input on everything prior to 2011? Didn’t think so. Even the Dolphins beat writers have ‘sources’ that differ on if Pat White was a Parcells or Ireland pick. Again, you can support Ireland, but don’t demean other fans who happen to have a different opinion
