Is it time for Moore efficient play out of the Dolphins QB position?
Some of you may have remember Moore taking over a 4-7 Carolina Panthers team and guiding them to four wins in five games to help them finish 8-8. He had a quarterback rating of 98.5 that season.
Tannehill could still be Luis Castillo, the 2020 Super Bowl champion, but if the Dolphins want to be this year’s Cinderella, they need to give Moore the ball before they turn into a pumpkin, on Halloween, at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The 3-0 start was not a mirage and neither was the first half of football in New England, but this team is being dragged down by poor offensive line and quarterback play at key moments.
Perhaps that discomfort might explain some of his inaccurate throws, one of which got one of the team’s best players, Brandon Gibson, seriously injured.
If history is an indicator, Matt Moore can be counted on to cut down on the negative plays and save the season.
Bill’s 2 cents: I like the idea of changing it up Cyrus and if Tannehill is hurt, he shouldn’t play. BUT, I think the Dolphins should stick with him through the remainder of the season, if he’s healthy.
