Pitiful Picks: Can the Dolphins upset the Pats and win 3rd in a row?
The Miami Dolphins will be playing meaningful games for at least the next 2 weeks. We can only hope that they win one of them and make the final week of the season meaningful. In fact, it would be great if we get to see the Dolphins make the playoffs for the first time since 2008, wouldn’t it?
Our Pitiful Picks were….well….pitiful earlier in the season, but we’ve come on strong of late. We went 4-0 last week and will try to continue our hot streak. We’re 34-26 on the season, so lets see if we can put some more distance between us and the .500 mark (just like the Dolphins will attempt to do!)
Bears -1 over Browns
Granted, the Bears were going up against a terrible Dallas defense, but their offense was rolling. Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jefferey are a formidable duo and the return of Jay Cutler should only add to this offense’s firepower. I think the Bears stay in the thick of things in the NFC North for one more week. Prediction: Bears 23 Browns 16
Giants +7.5 over Seahawks
Like many, I’ve been waiting for the Giants to snap out of their 2013 season long funk. They haven’t. BUT, I think they’ll keep this game close (and lose). The Seahawks are a different team on the road than they are at home and considering it’s going to be blisteringly cold, give me the Giants and the points. Prediction: Seawhawks 24 Giants 20
