Pitiful Picks: Time to get back to football Dolphins fans
For the second Sunday in a row, Dolphins fans do not have a Miami Dolphins game to watch on TV. It is actually a welcomed relief that the NFL games return because I hope the media can finally lessen the in depth coverage and mocking of the Dolphins.
The Dolphins are heading to Tampa Bay today for their matchup with the Bucs tomorrow night. In the meantime, there is a full slate of games on Sunday. We’ll try to improve on our 19-21 record in Pitiful Picks this season, keeping the Dolphins playoff competition in mind.
Jaguars +13 over Titans
I don’t have a scientific or football based reason for this pick. Quite honestly, the logical picks I’ve made this season haven’t done very well. I just think the Jags are going to win a game. They might not get it this week, but usually divisional games are close, so give me the 13 points. Prediction: Titans 23 Jaguars 14
Giants -7.5 over Raiders
The Giants are coming off of a bye and the Raiders are flying across country for a 1pm game. Give me the Giants by 10 points in this one. Prediction: Giants 30 Raiders 20
Steelers -3 over Bills
The Steelers have been scoring a lot of points this season. The problem is they haven’t been able to stop opponents. Vegas views this game as a toss up, giving the Steelers 3 points for being at home. I think it’ll be close, but the Steelers win by more than a field goal. Prediction: Steelers 24 Bills 20
Eagles -1 over Packers
I saw what the Eagles offense did last week in Oakland. I think they continue to put up points, but I don’t have much faith in the Packers keeping up in a shootout without Aaron Rodgers. Prediction: Eagles 34 Packers 27
Bengals -1 over Ravens
The Ravens season is spiraling out of control and the Bengals are coming off of a tough loss at the hands of the Dolphins. The Bengals are also coming off of a mini-bye week after playing last Thursday Night. Prediction: Bengals 24 Ravens 13
