Latest Dolphins rumors with free agency just days away….
So the Dolphins shouldn’t be looking to trade any of these guys. If they do, Dennis Hickey’s reign would be off to a Jeff Ireland-like start. Again, I hope that Armando’s source is right and the Dolphins aren’t looking to trade any of them. We’ll see.
It appears the Dolphins are interested in making a run at Brandon Albert of the Chiefs. The Dolphins flirted with a trade for Albert last offseason, but ultimately chose to start Jonathan Martin at left tackle instead. That worked out well. Personally, I like Eugene Monroe as an option instead because he’s younger and slightly better. The problem is that the Ravens could use their franchise tag on Monroe, whom they traded for last season. We’ll know by Monday. Either way, the Dolphins are going to have to poney up some cash to find a starting left tackle in free agency.
The entire offensive line, except for Mike Pouncey, will likely be replaced. Free Agency will be one way to add talent and improve that unit. However, remember that the NFL draft is quite deep in offensive linemen this year. So don’t be too surprised if the Dolphins add 1-2 linemen during free agency and then draft upwards of 3 linemen in the draft.
I don’t know about you guys/girls, but I’m happy that February is over with. It was a slow month dogged by a certain bullying scandal, which shall remain nameless. Remember, we’re not talking about it anymore. Now the NFL offseason kicks into gear and we’ll be here to give you all of the latest Dolphins news. By the way, check out our latest post explaining why the Dolphins should make a strong move for Jimmy Graham!
